Milton extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Langston Hughes. Everything went their way against the Langston Hughes Panthers as they made off with a 56-35 win. The Eagles' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Milton was led to victory by Luke Nickel and TJ Lester. Nickel threw for 409 yards and four touchdowns while completing 95.5% of his passes, while Lester rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Lester's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 118 rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Barbour, who gained 143 total yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Langston Hughes still got an impressive performance from Carsyn Baker, who rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Baker a new career-high. Maurice Gleaton Jr was another key player, picking up 128 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Milton's win bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Langston Hughes, they moved to 13-2 with that loss, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.
